TO All Readers:

Due to report card crunch time and moving (back to my brand new classroom, Yehhhhhh!) at school, I will refrain myself from writing for personal enjoyment for a week. However, I will still read your lovely comments everyday. Thanks for coming by.

To CFPing:

Welcome to my blog. Thank you for your visit. I love to read people’s comments and learn about their experiences. I also like to know what readers think of my writing.

Discrimination and Racism exist everywhere. Julliard is a very prestigious school in NY, but I guess such incidents are still inevitable there. They probably have admitted all kinds of top notch students from all over the world. Anyone who could be admitted to take the course at Julliard must have some outstanding musical talents based on the school’s reputation, but, unfortunately, the students undermined your musical ability. I think discrimination and racism are originated from people’s ignorance or, shall we say, uneducated assumption. They assumed you were the culprit during the rehearsal, for whatever reason they had in mind, skin color, elected credit, shyness, or language ability. Who knows what!

You are also right; sometimes it is not easy to “fit in” to be in the inner circle. I am very outgoing and I have been here for years, but I can sense that sometimes I still have to try to prove myself and to fit in when I am in a group situation. That is why I am writing down my experiences to educate people to have an open mind.
